WHAT A WEEK!

Hey Everyone!!

I hope y'all had a great week!

First off, this week,we saw a few miracles! We met many people and were able to teach some of them and help them out with whatever problems they were having in their life at that time.

We also received some training this week on how to resolve investigators concerns and I learned so much from that and the practice that we had. We had such a spiritual and powerful practice and I was able to receive revelation for my investigators of how I could best help them.

So this week we had to drop some of our investigators because they were not progressing but I have faith that with us gone, they will feel the difference and want to meet with us again.

Oh we also were able to go to this Pioneer Day thing at the Stake center and it was great! We had so much fun and we were able to make many commitments with members.

I know that as we follow God's commandments, He will bless us. I know that the Spirit truly does inspire each and every one of us each day and leads us down the right path. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that if we ask God with a sincere heart, each and every one of us can know as well. I am so grateful for the experiences that I have gone through and that I have been blessed with parents that are good examples to me. I know that this church is true, I have had too many experiences that confirm to me of its truthfulness to every deny it!

I hope y'all have a great week!

I love and miss y'all!

ANOTHER GREAT WEEK

Hey Everyone,

This week was great and we saw many miracles!

First off, we were able to meet with this girl named Beverly on Thursday and she is awesome! We taught her the Restoration and everything made sense to her and then we invited her to be baptized and she said yes! She is on date for baptism for August 6th! I am so excited for her!

We also were able to meet with this part member family this past week and his name is Koree, which is kind of weird to say. We were able to teach him the Restoration as well and he said that he would read from the Book of Mormon to know whether or not it is true!

We then met with Don and he is this really cool guy who really wants to get baptized but doesn't want to give up some of his habits yet so he set his own baptismal date for 6 months out. We have a lesson with him today so we shall see how things go with him.

So we ran into a few bashers this week and those are always fun! It was good for my companion to experience though because he will run into quite a few of them on a mission! I have learned that when that happens, we have to either just ignore them or show them that we love them. Then afterwards, just laugh about it.

My companion and I are doing great together! We have so much fun and we both have a very similar sense of humor so things work out great!

I know that as we continue to love each and every one of Heavenly Father's children that they will be able to see through us the love that Heavenly Father has for them. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that as we continue to read from it, we will see many blessings come as we
read and study from it. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have to be here and serving with the people that I serve around.

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

I love and miss y'all!

Hey Everyone!!

So as I am sure y'all are all wondering, my new companion's name is Elder Adams! He is AWESOME! He is from Atlanta, Georgia - so he knows the South and can understand my personality. We have had so much fun this week together!

First off, we were able pick up this new investigator named Lisa and she is awesome! She was a former investigator and was so happy to see us when we stopped by.

We also were able to see this girl named Kylie, who is another former investigator and she was excited to see us too and so we have a lesson set up with her this week! It is going to be a great week.

We stopped by a few other Less Actives. Some were nice and some not so much. But it was so cool when we were able to see this one lady that we hadn't been able to see (because her gate was always locked), but this time the gate was open and we are going back this week to do some service for her! She even said that she wanted us to pray for her to be able to come back to church!

We met with David and Machyla as well and we were able to have a really spiritual lesson with them. They even came to church the next day! We were so excited to see them there!

I am so grateful that I have the knowledge of the gospel in my life. It brings such hope and joy into my life and I know that it can for each and every one of us. I am grateful for my new companion and for his love and the Spirit that he always strives to listen to. I know that as we do so, we will be able to help others and the Spirit can testify to them of the truthfulness of the things that we teach. I know that if we read from the Book of Mormon and ask Heavenly Father if it is true, then we will feel of the Spirit and get the confirmation that it is true. I love this gospel and am so happy that I have the opportunity to serve those around me.

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

I love and miss y'all!

(July 7th will mark 9 months out)

Hey Everyone!!

So I am sure that y'all are all wondering whether I am being transferred or not and the answer to that is....

Nope! I am staying here in Fallbrook and am going to be training a new missionary!

I am so excited to train again and I am looking forward to this great assignment! I am sure it will be difficult at times, but I am up for any challenge that is put before me - because I have come to learn to rely on the Spirit and as I do, I am blessed with the strength that I need.

This week has been a pretty crazy week with getting ready for transfers and meeting our new mission President, who by the way is awesome and is so much fun. He is really funny and to him every day is a great day! Which is a good way of looking at it!

So our investigators are doing well and one who has been struggling has made some choices that will finally help her to progress more and be able to get baptized pretty soon.

Also for the 4th of July, we were able to spend it with some of our ward members and Recent converts at our ward BBQ. It was so much fun and we were able to see all of the fireworks! I loved it! Although I like the firework display in Cedar Key much better!

I know that as we work hard and are obedient, we will be blessed. I know that as we listen to the Spirit, he will guide us to those that are ready and in any situation that we are in. I am so grateful that Joseph Smith listened to the prompting that he got when he read James 1:5 and he decided to go and pray to the Father. I know that the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and as we read from it, we will get answers to our questions!

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

I hope y'all have a great rest of your week!

Love,
Elder Rudd

other at the Bobier Building in Vista (when Elder Rudd met his new comp).

They've been friends since E. Rudd was 8 & E. Castillo was 7.
