Only 1 Week Until Transfers

Hey Everyone!

This week was great! We saw some amazing miracles and I am so glad to be a missionary as always!

So the highlight of our week was last night when we had a lesson with our new investigator Ahmana. She is amazing! So she is the one from last week that said that us coming was meant to be. Anyways, we went over and had our first lesson with her. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and then I asked her what it would mean to her if she could have a completely clean slate and she said that she would do anything to have that. Then we promised her that she can have that by being baptized and she said, "oh, I have always wanted to be baptized and I would love to get baptized." We set her baptism date for July 17th and she is super excited to get baptized!

Lets see, some other things that happened this week...I was able to put some of my painting skills to work and help this older lady paint her deck which was really cool. She is a really fun and nice lady and she gave us some chili and corn bread that is out of this world delicious! Hopefully she invites us back to help her paint her back patio and then I can talk to her some more about the Church.

I am so grateful for the Spirit and it being a guide in my life and in the lives of others! I do not know what I would do without the Spirit in my life! I know that as we work hard and are obedient that we will see blessings in our lives. I have seen it time and time again. I know that the Priesthood truly is the authority to act in God's name and I have had countless experiences where I have had the opportunity to use it to bless others and have seen the miracles that come from it. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and I know that as we read from it and as Heavenly Father if it is true, we will get our answer that it is!

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

I love and miss y'all!!

Hey Everyone!

I hope y'all have had a great last week! Ours was pretty slow but at the same time busy! We saw many miracles happen here!

So to star off, we went over to meet with Krystal and ended up meeting with her son instead. He is awesome and told us that he wants to get baptized a Mormon. To him, everything makes sense and he loves it! He is on date to get baptized on July 9th.

We also met with this girl named Tiffany who we taught the Restoration to and then invited her to baptism and she said yes! She is also getting baptized on July 9th!

This week has been a pretty hot week as it has been 100+ degrees and we have been biking for most of it! I am becoming stronger and stronger though and am feeling great! It is amazing when you pray for the strength and energy that you need, Heavenly Father really does bless you and give you that!

So yesterday we were going by this one complex that has a former investigator that lives in it and I told Elder Parkinson that we she stop by and see them. So we did and while we were walking to their apartment, we talked to this one lady and she said she would love to talk, she just was doing her laundry so she gave us her apartment number and told us to stop by so of course we did. Well we ended up stopping by and talked to he about what we believe. At one point, I mentioned that families can be together forever and she said that this must be a sign because she had just gotten into an argument with her mom and had kicked her out! We ended up setting up a time to meet with her and will be meeting tomorrow. It was amazing to see how the Spirit directs us and how Heavenly Father blesses us as we talk to all of His children.

I know that as we work hard and are diligent in all things, we will be blessed. I have seen that time and time again on my mission! I know that through the Savior, we can all be healed and can feel of the Spirit and be able to live in peace. I am so grateful for the Spirit and the ability that we have to be led and guided by it!

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

I love and miss y'all!

Another Great Week!

Hey Everyone!!

This week has been great minus the fact that my companion and I have been sick.

So although we were sick, we still were able to see miracles and talk to many people and find some new investigators! So to start off with, our investigator Kristina is doing awesome! She even invited her husband to sit down with us and just hear us out. So he did and as we shared the First Vision, he really felt the Spirit and said that he would read the Book of Mormon. It was such an awesome experience to see someone that originally said that he was not religious say that he would read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true.

Matthew and Roda are doing great! We had a dinner and a lesson with them this past week and they are such a great family. I love spending time with them and having the opportunity to answer Matthews questions. I am excited to meet with them tomorrow and continue to share our message with them.

Krystal is doing awesome! She came to church yesterday and during one of the talks she was able to really feel the Spirit and was even taking notes on the promptings that she was getting during it. We also asked her son if he would want to get baptized and he said that he has been thinking about it and thinks it would be nice to get baptized! We are so excited for them and know that the gospel will truly bless their families life.

I know that as we seek to do the Lord's will, He will direct our paths. I know that the Spirit can manifest the truth to everyone who seeks to have a better understanding! I am so grateful for this gospel and I have seen how much it has blessed mine and my families life and that is one reason why I want to share it with everyone! I know that as we read from the Book of Mormon, we can begin to more fully understand our purpose here on Earth and how much God loves us!

Thank y'all for all of your love and support!

Love,
Elder Rudd
